Host Tools has two different ways that you can use AI to respond to guests.

  1. You can use ChatGPT to quickly auto-create responses to guests' messages. When the last message in a thread is from the guest, you can tap the "ChatGPT Auto Reply" button in the text field. This will fill in an AI-generated response in your text field. If everything looks good, just hit send! Or, if you'd like to edit the response in any way, you can do that before sending it.

Our AI uses listing-specific information to respond to guests. Specifically, it looks at your listing details, your automated messages for this specific listing and for "all listings", your quick replies for this specific listing and for "all listings", and any previous messages with the guest.

The easiest way to train the AI is to add a quick reply with the information it needs.

For example, if a guest asks about laundry and the AI responds, "I do not know, but I will look into this and get back to you," then you know there is a knowledge gap there. You can easily create a quick reply for that listing with all the information about laundry. You do not have to ever use the quick reply if you don't want to. But once it is created, our AI will be able to use it to answer your guests' questions.
