You can now enable auto-AI replies to guests' booking inquiries, booking confirmations, and booking requests.
Our AI will read over your template message, all of your listing details, your quick replies, and any previous messages with the guest to craft a personalized message to answer your guests' questions.
Here is how to create these AI auto-response message rules:
Create a new message rule in either a specific listing or a listing group. Note that since our AI uses information from your specific listing, you will get better responses if you create these rules for each specific listing. You can always copy a rule from one listing to another to save time.
Choose "Booking Inquiry", "Booking Request", or "Booking Confirmation" from the drop-down menu under "Event."
Check the box to "Use AI to customize your automated response based on the guest's message."
Write a template message in the text box under "Write Message." Our AI will use this information along with all your listing details and quick replies to answer the guest's questions and respond.
Here is an example of an AI auto-response to a booking inquiry:
When using Host Tools, the majority of your guest communication runs on autopilot. Message rules are triggered by events throughout the guest journey or by the day of the week. Our AI responses to guests' booking inquiries, booking confirmations, and booking requests will take your automation to the next level.
AI emoji reactions for short acknowledgments
Beyond text replies, Host Tools AI can now also send emoji reactions to brief, positive Airbnb guest messages — such as "thanks!", "perfect!", or "see you soon!". Instead of composing a full text reply or leaving the message unanswered, the AI selects an appropriate reaction (👍, ❤️, or 🙏) and sends it directly on Airbnb.
This works alongside — not instead of — text auto-responses. When the AI determines a message is a simple acknowledgment that warrants a reaction rather than a reply, it routes to the emoji reaction path automatically. Auto-send must be enabled in the listing's AI settings for reactions to send without your review; in suggest-only mode, the suggested reaction appears in the inbox for you to send manually.
